He waded into the frigid water, managing to grab hold of the terrified canine. However, the steep incline made it impossible for him to climb back to safety with the struggling dog in his arms.

A group of young men quickly sprang into action, forming a human chain to provide assistance. The human chain represented a remarkable show of teamwork and trust. Each member braced themselves against the risk of slipping into the reservoir, knowing that one misstep could lead to tragedy. Created by contemporary artist Yerbosyn Meldibekov, the sculpture depicts the human chain and was installed at the same embankment where the rescue took place a decade before.

The reaching bronze hand invites passersby to connect with the story and reflects the legacy of the dog who was saved that day. It symbolizes how a united spirit can overcome challenges that seem insurmountable.
