In a crowded public pound in Romania, a medium-sized dog named Arkin sat behind cold metal bars, overwhelmed and desperate. As Arkin’s physical wounds healed, so too did the scars of his past trauma. The rescue team discovered a gentle and obedient dog beneath his pain, one who radiated joy despite his previous hardships. He displayed no food aggression and patiently waited for meals, eagerly accepting treats from loving hands.
Arkin proved to be the ideal family dog, quickly becoming house-trained and mastering basic commands. In January 2018, after his remarkable journey of recovery, Arkin’s story reached a loving family in New Hampshire. They looked past his age and saw the loving spirit within him, offering him a permanent home. Arkin bravely boarded a flight, trading the cold, concrete of the Romanian pound for the warmth of a family in New England.
Today, Arkin thrives in his forever home, surrounded by the affection he always deserved. The dog who once cried hopelessly in a cage is now a cherished member of his new family, enjoying a life full of love and joy.
