As they entered the busy intake area, Queeni seemed to shut down, overwhelmed by her sudden change in environment.
A Slow Transformation Begins
Once placed in her kennel, Queeni curled up on her bed, trembling and refusing to accept comfort from the staff. The noisy shelter was a far cry from the peaceful home she had known. Instead of verbal reassurances, the staff offered silent support, patiently allowing Queeni to adjust.
